HARTFORD, Conn. — A Connecticut federal judge has awarded Pfizer Inc. summary judgment in a Lipitor case on the basis that the plaintiff’s sole expert did not provide any opinion causally linking Lipitor, or Pfizer’s failures to warn, to the alleged injuries.
On March 4, Judge Michael P. Shea of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut concluded that the plaintiff is unable to establish a claim under the Connecticut Product Liability Act.
