Pa. Jury Awards More than $1 Million to Asbestos Plaintiffs; Allocates 30 Percent Liability to Remaining Defendant




PHILADELPHIA –– A Pennsylvania federal jury has awarded just over $1 million to the plaintiffs in an asbestos case, assessing 30 percent liability to the remaining defendant, sources told HarrisMartin.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania jury reached the verdict on Feb. 9 after one-and-a-half weeks of trial and six hours of deliberations. Crane Co. was the lone remaining defendant at the time of the verdict, sources said.

Hon. Nitza I. Quinones Alejandro presided over the trial.
