NEWARK, N.J. — The plaintiff in a New Jersey Superstorm Sandy coverage case has informed the court that he has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

According to a Nov. 13 letter filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, plaintiff Simon Zarour filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 24 and seeks a conference with Magistrate Judge Douglas E. Arpert.
