Levaquin Makers Awarded Summary Judgment in Texas Action

DALLAS — A Texas federal judge has awarded the makers of Levaquin summary judgment in an action alleging tendon injuries caused by the antibiotic, ruling that the plaintiff failed to submit evidence that the drug is defective or unreasonably dangerous.
In an Oct. 23 order, Judge Sam A. Lindsay of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas further found the evidence establishes that defendants warned of the potential dangers associated with tendon injuries.
