6th Circuit Issues Briefing Schedule in Appeal of Benzene Case Dismissed by Mich. Court

DETROIT –– The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit has issued a briefing schedule in the appeal filed by benzene plaintiffs whose claims were thrown out by a federal court in August, giving the plaintiffs until Nov. 9 to file their principal brief.

According to the Sept. 25 letter to counsel, the 6th Circuit also asked that the appellee’s brief be submitted by Dec. 10. The plaintiffs’ reply brief is to be filed 17 days after the defendants’ opposition brief is filed.
