Policyholder Asks N.J. Federal Judge to Reconsider Refusal to Reopen Discovery in Sandy Coverage Dispute

NEWARK, N.J. — A policyholder has asked a New Jersey federal magistrate judge to reconsider his refusal to extend discovery in a Superstorm Sandy coverage case, asserting that the insurer would not be prejudiced by such an extension.

In a Sept. 17 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the policyholder further maintains that there is “new evidence” available to back his newly asserted claim for complete rebuilding of his property.
