Wis. Federal Court Awards Summary Judgment to Lone Remaining Defendant in Asbestos Case

MILWAUKEE –– A Wisconsin federal court has awarded summary judgment to an asbestos defendant, finding that the plaintiff had failed to establish that the decedent used the defendant’s asbestos-containing gloves during his time as an art instructor.

In the Oct. 9 decision, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin awarded summary judgment to Linde LLC, the lone remaining defendant in the case.

Linde LLC, formerly known as the BOC Group Inc. had argued in its motion that the plaintiff was not exposed to asbestos in any of its products.
