Calif. Federal Judge Transfers Claims of 69 Cymbalta Plaintiffs to Indiana Federal Court

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California federal judge has transferred the claims of 69 plaintiffs in three Cymbalta withdrawal cases to the Southern District of Indiana, ruling that the interests of judicial economy would be better served if the cases are tried in Eli Lilly & Co.’s home district.

In a Sept. 10 order, Judge Kimberly J. Mueller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California explained that a large number of similar Cymbalta withdrawal actions are already proceeding in the Southern District of Indiana.
