National Fire Insurance Co. Files Appellate Brief in Benzene-Related Insurance Dispute

ST. LOUIS –– An insurer has preserved its right to appeal any adverse decision the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit may reach in a benzene co-defendant’s separate appeal of an insurance-related dispute.

In the May 15 brief filed in the 8th Circuit, National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, P.A., explained that it did not take a position with respect to Valspar’s challenge, but wished to protect its interests “in the event Valspar’s positions prevail on appeal.”
