TAMPA, Fla. — Plaintiffs in a C.R. Bard G2 inferior vena cava filter action may present expert testimony regarding whether Bard complied with regulatory requirements applicable to the device, what may cause the device to fracture, and the effects of stress and strain on the fatigue and fracture of the device.

However, in the May 4 opinion, Judge Charlene E. Honeywell of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida excluded opinions regarding the testing and design of the G2 filter and the adequacy of the device’s labeling.
