PLAQUEMINE, La. –– A Louisiana jury has awarded $3 million to a former mechanic at the conclusion of an asbestos trial during which John Crane Inc. was the lone remaining defendant, sources told HarrisMartin.
The Louisiana 18th Judicial District Court for Iberville Parish jury reached the verdict on May 29. Judge Donald M. Fendlason presided over the trial, which ended after four hours of jury deliberations. Judge Fendlason oversees asbestos cases for the 18th Judicial District Court, sources told HarrisMartin.
The jury broke down its award into $1 million for physical pain and suffering; $1 million for mental anguish; $622,688.00 …
