Zimmer Opposes Transfer of Missouri Knee Implant Case to NexGen MDL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Zimmer Inc. has notified the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation that it will oppose the transfer of a Missouri woman's knee implant case to the NexGen Knee multidistrict litigation pending in Illinois, saying the dispute does not fall within the scope of the MDL. Beerbaur v. Zimmer, Inc., et al., No. 4:12-cv-0009-SOW (W.D. Mo.).

Zimmer did not specify its reasons for opposing the transfer of Christy Beerbaur's case to the MDL in its Jan. 24 filing, but said it would submit a supporting brief with its motion to vacate the JPML's conditional transfer within 14 days.
