Federal Judge Grants Motion for Summary Judgment in Celebrex Lawsuit

AUSTIN, Texas-A company's motion for summary judgment that claimed they were improperly named as a party in the lawsuit and cited the plaintiff's lack of evidence to support allegations that his injuries were caused by Celebrex has been granted by a federal judge in Texas. Hackett v. G.D. Searle & Company, et al., No. A-01-CA-399-SS (W.D. Texas).
U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks' June 25 ruling determined that Monsato Company was not in existence at the time in which Mark Hackett claims to have suffered injuries to his kidneys as a result of his ingestion of Celebrex. The decision also found …
