NEW YORK - A New York federal judge has refused to reconsider his decision to send a $1.9 million dispute between a reinsurance broker and Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's London to arbitration, reiterating that the dispute is encompassed by the arbitration clause in the reinsurance agreements at issue. B.D. Cooke & Partners Ltd. v. Certain Underwriters at Lloyds London, No. 1:08-03435 (S.D. N.Y.).

On March 9, Judge Richard J. Holwell of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York denied B.D. Cooke & Partners' motion for reconsideration of his March 2009 order.
