Florida Parents Allege Vaccine Makers, Power Company Caused Boy's Mercury Poisoning

MIAMI-The parents of a five-year-old Florida boy have sued their physicians, several pharmaceutical firms and a local power company alleging they all played a role in their son's neurological disorder, which they claim is mercury-induced. Edoo v. American Home Products, et al., No. 02-cv-6214 (Fla. Cir. Court, Broward Cty.).

In a lawsuit they filed March 28 in Broward County Circuit Court, Mohammed and Juliet Edoo allege that damages caused by the mercury-based vaccinations made their son more susceptible to the toxic emissions of the Florida Power and Light Company plant, which generates electricity by burning fossil fuels.
