PHILADELPHIA- A lawsuit filed in Philadelphia against Aventis Pharmaceuticals alleges that one woman's use of the drug Arava caused her to lose her hair and fingernails. Korkuch, et al v. Aventis Pharmaceuticals, No. 01cv6220 (E.D. PA.)

The lawsuit, removed recently to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleges that Janet Korkuch began taking Arava in September 1999 after several other treatments for her psoriatic arthritis failed.
