NEW YORK - TIG Insurance Co. is urging a New York federal magistrate judge to reconsider a discovery order requiring the reinsurer to produce certain attorney-client communications in a $12.3 million dispute over reinsurance coverage for Foster Wheeler asbestos claims. AIU Insurance Co. v. TIG Insurance Co., No. 07-CIV-7052 (S.D. N.Y.).

In August, Magistrate Judge Henry Pitman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled that 256 of the documents are not protected by the attorney-client or work-product doctrines.
