Reinsurer Demands Contribution For Construction Defects Settlement




LAS VEGAS - As the reinsurer of a now-insolvent liability insurer, Clarendon National Insurance Co. is demanding more than $1 million in contribution from a commercial general liability insurer toward the settlement of underlying construction defects claims. Clarendon National Insurance Co., et al. v. National Fire and Marine Insurance Co., et al., No. 2:08-00331 (D. Nev.).

The June 4 amended complaint was filed by Clarendon and Homeland Central Insurance Co. against National Fire and Marine Insurance Co. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
