Judge Seals Documents in CNA, SCOR Commutation Dispute




CHICAGO - An Illinois federal judge has sealed documents containing communications between CNA and SCOR Reinsurance Co. in a dispute over whether a 2006 commutation agreement terminated certain facultative contracts between the parties. Continental Casualty Co., et al. v. Commercial Risk Re-Insurance Co., No. 1:07-cv-06912 (N.D. Ill.).

On July 29, Judge Harry D. Leinenweber of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted a motion to seal filed by Continental Casualty Co. and Continental Insurance Co.
