Clarendon Urges Federal Judge to Confirm Party Arbitrator

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Clarendon National Insurance Co. on July 18 asked a Pennsylvania federal judge to confirm its appointment of a party arbitrator for Lincoln General Insurance Co. in a dispute involving an auto reinsurance treaty. Lincoln General Insurance Co. v. Clarendon National Insurance Co., et al., No. 4:08-cv-00582 (M.D. Pa.).

Clarendon is urging Judge John E. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania to rule that Lincoln General gave up its right to appoint its own party arbitrator when it failed to do so within 30 days of the arbitration demand.
