CHICAGO -In a dispute over whether certain facultative contracts were terminated by a December 2006 commutation agreement, two CNA subsidiaries have asked an Illinois federal judge to seal documents containing communications with defendant SCOR Reinsurance Co. Continental Casualty Co., et al. v. Commercial Risk Re-Insurance Co., No. 1:07-cv-06912 (N.D. Ill.).

In a July 21 motion, Continental Casualty Co. and Continental Insurance Co. (CNA, collectively) argue that the documents contain "private and proprietary claims and reinsurance information" and "sensitive and confidential business secrets, the disclosure of which could cause material harm."
