TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - A woman who learned that her osteopenia likely resulted from long-term Depo-Provera use after her 16-year-old daughter received a similar diagnosis has failed to provide sufficient evidence that her injury was caused by inadequate warnings on the contraceptive's labeling, a federal judge has ruled. Colville v. Pharmacia & Upjohn Company LLC, No. 07-140 (N.D. Fla.).

Judge Stephan P. Mickle of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida held in a July 10 order that warnings on the Depo-Provera insert were "accurate, clear and unambiguous" and adequate to warn physicians that use of the drug …
