Missouri Jury Awards $70 Million in Third St. Louis Talcum Powder Trial

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri jury has awarded approximately $70 million at the conclusion of the third talcum powder case to proceed to trial in St. Louis, finding Johnson & Johnson and Imerys Talc liable for the plaintiff’s ovarian cancer, HarrisMartin Publishing is reporting.

The Missouri Circuit Court for St. Louis City jury reached the verdict on Oct. 27 after a three-week trial and approximately three hours of deliberations.

Multiple sources confirmed to HarrisMartin that the verdict total was just over $70 million and was entered against all the remaining defendants, including Johnson & Johnson and Imerys Talc.
