Johnson & Johnson Defendants Attack Talcum Powder Plaintiffs’ Fraud, Conspiracy, Warranty Claims

COLUMBUS, Ga. –– Johnson & Johnson defendants named in a talcum powder lawsuit pending in Georgia federal court have filed a motion to dismiss the fraud, misrepresentation, conspiracy, and warranty claims, maintaining that the claims are not pled with sufficient particularity.

In the Aug. 23 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the defendants said that the plaintiffs have failed to identify any specific acts of misconduct.

In her complaint, plaintiff Brenda Traylor said she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November 2015. Her cancer, she said in the complaint, was caused by exposure …
