Monsanto Indicates Intent to Appeal Decision Remanding PCBs Exposure Suit

ST. LOUIS –– Monsanto Co. has filed a notice of appeal, indicating its intent to contest a recent federal court decision, in which the court found it did not have jurisdiction over the PCBs exposure complaint since there was no evidence that the PCBs were produced to the details specification of the government.

In that June 29 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri opined that the defendant had failed to present evidence that the manufacturing process of PCBs was supervised or controlled by the government.
