Louisiana Federal Court Grants Benzene Plaintiffs’ Motion to Dismiss Shell Defendants With Prejudice

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has granted a recent joint motion to dismiss Shell Oil Co., and Shell Chemical LP from a benzene complaint with prejudice, according to court documents.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana granted the motion on June 15, just two days after the parties filed a joint motion to dismiss, informing the court that an “agreement to compromise this matter has been realized.”
