Defendant Named in Radiation Suit Files Motion for Summary Judgment, Says Plaintiffs Can’t Establish Causation

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –– A defendant named in a radiation exposure suit has filed a motion for summary judgment, contending that the plaintiffs cannot establish a causal connection between their injuries and anything done by the company.

In the May 5 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, defendant Pratt & Whitney said that the plaintiffs will not be able to prove that “it is even scientifically possible for radioactive material to have traveled the necessary distance in surface or ground water as Plaintiffs allege.”
