Travelers Seeks to Amend Complaint Against Century Indemnity in $6.2 Million Reinsurance Dispute

HARTFORD, Conn. — Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. has asked a Connecticut federal court to allow it to amend its complaint against Century Indemnity Co. in which Travelers seeks reinsurance proceeds for its settlement of underlying asbestos claims.
In its April 29 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Travelers seeks to increase the sum it is seeking to $6,168,430 and to provide further details in its count for a declaratory judgment regarding access to records.
