Tenn. Jurors Award $4.6 Million in Take-Home Asbestos Exposure Case Against Ford Motor




JACKSON, Tenn. –– Jurors in Tennessee have unanimously decided to award $4.6 million to plaintiffs asserting take-home asbestos exposure claims, finding in part that defendant Ford Motor Co. was reckless.

The Tennessee Circuit Court for Madison County reached the verdict on Aug. 21. Ford Motor was the lone remaining defendant in the case at the time of the verdict, sources said, and was allocated 71 percent liability.

Honeywell, a nonparty, was assessed the remaining 29 percent liability, sources added. Judge Roy B. Morgan Jr. presided over the trial.
