ORLANDO, Fla. –– Parties in a toluene exposure suit pending in Florida have reached a settlement agreement, according to a notice filed recently in federal court.

As such, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida issued an order of dismissal with prejudice on June 5. The settlement agreement comes just a few weeks after Shell Oil Co. again asked the court to dismiss the complaint, saying the plaintiffs had still not identified the toluene, the defendant’s connection to the toluene or the alleged toluene defect.
