Wis. Court Grants Motion in Part to Exclude Testimony from Castleman in Asbestos Case

MADISON, Wis. –– A Wisconsin federal court has issued an order on the admissibility of testimony from Barry Castleman, ruling that while the plaintiff expert can testify as to trade journals and government publications, he cannot weigh in on medical articles.

In the May 14 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin agreed with the defendants that the expert was not qualified to explain the meaning or significance of medical articles.

Plaintiff Gary Suoja asserted the asbestos-related claims on behalf of Oswald F. Suoja.
