DENVER — A Colorado federal judge has denied insurers’ motion for a protective order in a coverage action, ruling that 30(b)(6) deposition topics on reserve and reinsurance information are relevant at this stage in the action because the policy’s assignee’s bad faith claims are still pending.

The judge further held that topics relating to the drafting, marketing, and underwriting of the policy and claims handling are relevant.
