Lumber Liquidators Fights Plaintiffs’ Effort to Halt Formaldehyde Testing Program

SAN FRANCISCO — Lumber Liquidators has responded to an attempt by plaintiffs in a California class action to halt a company-funded program for evaluating formaldehyde levels in homes where its hardwood laminate flooring is installed.
In an April 22 opposition brief filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Lumber Liquidators claims there is viable consumer need for the testing and that the plaintiffs have yet to suggest any imminent injury that would result if the court were to deny a preliminary injunction aimed at stopping the initiative.
