JPML Refuses to Vacate Transfer Order in NexGen Knee Implant Case, Says Suit Doesn’t Involve Unique Issues

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has declined to vacate a transfer order involving a Zimmer NexGen Knee Implant case, finding that the plaintiff’s own complaint refutes her stance that her case involves “unique issues” concerning the implant.

In the April 3 order, the JPML noted that the plaintiff indicated that her injuries occurred as a result of the loosening of the implant,
