LOS ANGELES — A RICO lawsuit has been filed against Lumber Liquidators in California, accusing the company of defrauding consumers who have ordered home testing kits to measure formaldehyde emissions from hardwood laminate flooring.

The 35-page complaint filed April 16 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California alleges that Lumber Liquidators concealed conflicts of interest among the parties administering and analyzing the test kits and misrepresented to consumers that air samples from their homes are being evaluated by a properly accredited lab.
