8th Circuit Court of Appeals Sets Benzene Workers’ Compensation Dispute for Oral Argument




ST. LOUIS –– The 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has placed a benzene-related appeal involving Harley-Davidson on its Feb. 12 calendar for argument, according to the court’s online docket.

On Jan. 9, the appellate court said the dispute will be heard before Judges William Jay Riley, James B. Loken and Lavenski R. Smith in Division I.

Michelle Ideker filed the underlying suit, contending that she was exposed to benzene-containing products while working in Harley-Davidson’s paint and coating department for eight years. Ideker says she worked with paint products manufactured by PPG Industries.
