ORLANDO, Fla. –– A benzene plaintiff and Shell Oil Co. have exchanged briefing on the viability of the plaintiff’s claims, with the defendant contending that the plaintiff had failed to identify the circumstances of the alleged exposure.

In a Jan. 16 opposition brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, however, the plaintiffs maintained that her lawsuit contained enough detail to indicate the circumstances of her exposure and why Shell Oil should be held liable for the resulting damages.
