Mylan Dismissed From Okla. Fentanyl Pain Patch Wrongful Death Case

OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma federal judge has dismissed claims brought against Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. in a fentanyl pain patch wrongful death case, ruling they are time-barred by the state’s statute of limitations.

On Oct. 20, Judge Gregory K. Frizzell of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma explained that the limitations period was triggered when the medical examiner certified the cause of death as "toxic effects of fentanyl" in April 2006.
