HOUSTON –– A Texas jury has reached a defense verdict at the conclusion of a benzene trial, rejecting claims that a decedent’s exposure to benzene in aviation fuel caused him to develop leukemia, HarrisMartin Publishing is reporting.
The Texas 80th Judicial District Court for Harris County jury reached the 10-2 verdict earlier today after a two-week trial, sources told HarrisMartin. Eastern Aviation Fuels Inc., a distributor of the aviation fuel to which decedent Joshua Willis allegedly came into contact, was the lone defendant remaining in the case when the verdict was reached.
