N.J. Federal Court Transfer Asbestos Exposure Suit to Wyoming; Awards Summary Judgment to Warren Pumps

NEWARK, N.J. –– A New Jersey federal court has transferred an asbestos action to Wyoming, finding that both public and private factors favored transfer of the case, which includes allegations of asbestos exposure at a soda ash factory.

In a separate order also issued July 23, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey awarded summary judgment to Warren Pumps, noting that New Jersey courts have recently determined that a defendant can not be held liable for replacement parts it did not manufacture or supply.
