Zimmer Withdraws Motion to Compel Production of Allegedly Defective Knee Implant, Says Issue Resolved

CHICAGO –– Zimmer has withdrawn a recently filed motion to compel the production of an allegedly defective knee implant, saying that the parties have since resolved the issue and the court’s intervention is no longer needed.

The withdrawal of motion to compel brief was filed July 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, just four days after the defendant argued that under the rules of discovery, it had the right to inspect and test the device out of the presence of plaintiffs’ counsel.
