Louisiana Court Remands Case, Finds No Evidence that NASA Mandated Use of Asbestos-Containing Materials

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has remanded an asbestos action filed by a man who at one point worked in a NASA facility, finding that the removing defendant had failed to prove that the plaintiff’s work was done under the direction of the federal entity.

In the July 15 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana wrote that the defendant had not submitted any evidence that the federal officer removal statute applied to the mesothelioma case.
