Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Hip Implant MDL Judge Outlines Parameters for Bellwether Categories, Trials

MINNEAPOLIS –– The Minnesota federal court overseeing the coordinated docket for Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Hip Implant product liability claims has issued a stipulated order outlining parameters for bellwether categories, saying the case pool will be divided up into five categories.

According to the May 9 pretrial order, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota split the categories based on product, the date of implant surgery, and the post-revision outcome.

The first category contains plaintiffs who were implanted with a Rejuvenate Modular hip implant prior to Jan. 1, 2011, and who ended up undergoing an “uncomplicated revision.” …
