NEW YORK — Two associated medical services providers that were unable to conduct business for an extended period after Superstorm Sandy have sued their insurers and Consolidated Edison for more than $700,000 in lost revenue and other expenses.
Kips Bay Edoscopy Center and Concorde Medical Group filed the complaint last month in New York County Supreme Court, alleging that Con Ed’s “recklessness and negligence” in opting not to shut down a nearby substation that exploded during the storm is to blame for the offices’ revenue shortfall.
