DePuy ASR Court Considers Defense Motions to Exclude Testimony by 2 Design Experts

TOLEDO, Ohio — DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. (NYSE: JNJ) has asked the federal ASR hip MDL court to prevent two experts retained by plaintiffs from offering design or engineering opinions in the first scheduled bellwether trial in September.

DePuy submitted the motions and supporting briefs June 14, asking Judge David A. Katz of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio to bar testimony by J. Dennis Bobyn, Ph.D., and George M. Samaras, Ph.D.
