MIAMI — A Florida woman has sued the manufacturer of GranuFlo, alleging that the dry acid concentrate administered to her husband at a dialysis center in 2008 caused his death.

In a lawsuit filed Oct. 4 in federal court, Gloria Smith says that Fresenius USA Inc. was aware of cardiac dangers associated with its GranuFlo dialysis treatment when it was introduced in 2003, yet the company waited years before acknowledging the issue.
