JPML Centralizes Coloplast Pelvic Mesh Device Cases in West Virginia

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has granted Coloplast Corp.’s motion to centralize all federal cases involving its pelvic mesh devices in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. In re Coloplast Corp.’s Pelvic Support Systems Products Liability Action, MDL No. 2387 (JPML).

According to the Aug. 6 order, the cases have been assigned to Chief District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings. The lawsuits, filed in federal courts in Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, involve Coloplast’s Aris, Novasilk, Restorelle and Supris devices.
