Judge Schedules 1st DePuy ASR Bellwether Trial for May 2013

TOLEDO, Ohio — U.S. District Judge David A. Katz has scheduled the first bellwether trial in the DePuy ASR hip implant litigation for May 2013, with a second trial to follow in July. In re: DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. ASR Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2197 (N.D. Ohio).

The first cases to be tried were not identified in Judge Katz’s July 26 order, but he asked counsel to each select and exchange four trial candidates for the trial pool by Aug. 8.
