N.J. Affirms Denial of Asbestos-Related Benefits to Former Teacher

TRENTON, N.J. -- The denial of benefits to a former teacher who claimed he was exposed to asbestos during remediation projects at schools where he taught has been affirmed by a New Jersey appellate court, which found the claims time-barred. Russo v. Hoboken Board of Education, No. A-1861-10T4 (N.J. Super. Ct., App. Div.).

In the Nov. 29 opinion, the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, found that the claimant knew, or should have known, about asbestos-related dangers while the projects were underway.
